An out door equipment store owner in Chengdu has been arrested for allegedly cheating the Red Cross and Selling quake-relief tents as regular tents. The prosecutor's office in Jinjiang District of the capital of Sichuan Province has approved the arrest of store owner identified as Liu. The earthquake caused panic buyting of tents, sleeping bags and air mattresses in Chengdu. Liu's Shushanxing Outdoor Equipment sold out all the items the day after the earthquake, the report said. Liu fooled the Red Cross into certifying his store to transport tents and other out equipment under the name of "relief materials". Liu allegedly ordered and received 616 tents, 880 sleeping bags and 1,083 air mattresses from May 14 to 21 that were delivered via special express trans carrying relief materials. He pulled off tags that read "FOR VICTIMS" and "RELIEF MATERIALS" and sold the itmes for more than 800,000 yuan.

What a great philosophy to travel through life’s journey with! It was interesting to receive this quote in an email this week as I have told many people “you just need to dance as though no one is watching.” This statement can be taken literally – go out dancing and just let your spirit soar, enjoy yourself, have fun – or, figuratively – dance through life and just let your spirit soar, enjoy yourself, have fun … does it really matter what other’s think? I’m not talking about throwing away all responsibilities (we do live in a real world), but rather about taking time to be or explore who we are. Work on finding a balance. Be true to yourself, don’t live your life to please others. Live to please yourself and others will be pleased. Emotions are infectious; why not spread happiness, joy and love? Take the time to watch a seagull in flight. Some days, depending on the weather, they appear to just float, soar and really enjoy themselves. Watch again on a windy day, they have to work a little harder to get where they’re going. Notice how when the weather gets stormy, they land and just hang out for a while. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured and far away.” – Henry David Thoreau Tania Tyler August 04 食物篇应LeLe同学的要求，我把最近到美国以后学的几个中国菜在这里亮一亮。
菜单我会陆续更新的。
鱼片粥
左图中，那位仁兄手里拿的碗就是右图中的鱼片粥。至于味道嘛，看看左图中那位仁兄的脸就知道了。
配方：
1. 很普通的煮粥方法，和平时煮粥一样，该怎么煮就怎么煮。
2. 两个香菇切成片， 鱼丸切成片，至于那个黄色的东西嘛，英语叫什么，我忘记了，中文叫什么我想不起来了，不好意思。就这么着吧，等我以后想起来了再告诉你们。最主要的是我切了Halibut (大比目鱼）的鱼肉，50g左右吧，不过煮完粥已经看不到了。
3. 等到粥沸了，就把什么香菇啊，鱼丸片啊，黄色的东西啊，halibut啊，一股脑地倒进去。 其实我做的时候，halibut是最后放的，我就知道这个鱼片放到锅就没有了，但是也忒夸张了点，真的好像什么也没有了，下次建议同志们把鱼片切得厚一点，这样至少人家知道你的粥里面还有点值钱的东西。
4. 眼看着差不多了，再放几根葱进去增加点颜色，其实放不放我都觉得无所谓。再适量加点盐。千万不要放鸡精，这个粥已经很有味了。
5. 这就大功告成了，不过这有一缺点。你吃再多，2个小时以后也就变成水了。2个小时以后你还要吃东西，所以建议大家如果要煮这样的粥，就拿它当点心来吃，千万不能当正餐。
蒜泥西兰花 蒜泥空心菜
为什么把这两个菜放在一起呢, 是因为它们的做法基本相同，只不过西兰花有一点点的复杂。
配方:
1. 把菜洗干净, 切好.
2. 把油锅烧至8分热, 就倒下去炒. 再加入适量的盐, 鸡精, 最后放入蒜泥. 至于这个蒜泥是先放还是后放, 我觉得没有什么区别, 我们家那位喜欢把蒜泥先炒成金黄色的, 有了香味以后才放菜炒. 我觉得没有什么区别. 所以, 你想先放就先放, 后放就后放.
3. 这里要说一下西兰花, 以前在饭店里面吃的西兰花都是脆脆的, 但是炒的时候时间太长了, 西兰花基本上就不脆了, 而且如果是像我一样刚刚开始做菜的话, 掌握不好火候, 所以教大家个简单的方法, 而且吃了还不会肥. 在炒之前, 先把西兰花在沸水里面煮一下, 放在旁边把水滤干, 然后起油锅再炒, 既省力又省时. 最后再加入淀粉, 这样蒜泥就粘在西兰花上了. hoho......完成。西兰花图里面黑黑的是胡椒粉，美国人吃东西都喜欢撒胡椒粉，也不知道为什么。撒了就多了一点flavor，不喜欢胡椒粉的，建议不要加。
下面就回答LeLe同学的问题：
菠萝古老肉
配方:
1. 猪肉, 菠萝, 辣椒, 白醋, 番茄酱, 生粉, 糖, 盐, 鸡精, 料酒, 鸡蛋, 油；
2. 将猪肉切片, 放入盐, 鸡精, 鸡蛋, 生粉, 料酒腌味. 青椒切片, 菠萝切三角块；
3. 猪肉片挂鸡蛋,干淀粉； 4. 将白醋, 番茄酱, 糖, 盐调成汁； 5. 猪肉片入热油锅内炸熟； 6. 放入青,红椒与菠萝炒热,放入调好的汁勾芡,下入炸好的猪肉翻炒即成。 一直以为酸酸甜甜的是上海才，网上一查，才知道这道菜是属于粤菜。第一次烧，也没有什么经验，但是基本上炒出来的味道还是差不多的。只不过我们家那位喜欢吃辣，所以还带了一点点的辣味。卖相还好，没有图片里的看上去那么难看。
辣子鸡
原料:
半只鸡, 花椒和干辣椒(1:4), 葱, 熟芝麻, 盐, 味精, 料酒, 食用油, 姜, 蒜, 白糖 做法: 1. 将鸡切成小块放盐和料酒拌匀后放入8分热的油锅中炸至外表变干成深黄色后捞起待用. 干辣椒和葱切成3厘米长的段, 姜蒜切片. 2. 锅里烧油至7分热, 倒入姜蒜炒出香味后倒入干辣椒和花椒, 翻炒至气味开始呛鼻, 油变黄后倒入炸好的鸡块, 炒至鸡块均匀地分布在辣椒中后撒入葱段, 味精, 白糖, 熟芝麻, 炒匀后起锅即可. 注意: 1.辣椒和花椒可以随自己的口味添加, 不过为了原汁原味的体现这道菜的特色, 做好的成品最好是辣椒能全部把鸡盖住, 而不是鸡块中零零星星出现几个辣椒和花椒. 2. 炸鸡前往鸡肉里撒盐, 一定要撒足, 如果炒鸡的时候再加盐, 盐味是进不了鸡肉的, 因为鸡肉的外壳已经被炸干, 质地比较紧密, 盐只能附着在鸡肉的表面, 影响味道. 3. 炸鸡用的油一定要烧得很热, 否则鸡肉下去很长时间外表都不会炸干的, 就算等了半天炸干了, 那就真的是干了, 一团死肉, 很难吃, 完全没口感可言. 所以火一定要大, 外面炸脆了, 里面还相对较嫩. 四川菜，怪味。
这道菜我基本上认为是做了失败的一道菜，因为这个菜只有在肚子饿的时候才觉得好吃，我把鸡炸得太干了，水分基本没有像配方里面说的那么多，但是Nick说好吃，我也不知道他的味觉是不是有问题。我建议配方中的糖不要加了，因为加了之后，味道就变得很怪，我也不知道为什么。
清炒乌贼鱼
那天去买菜，本来没有准备买章鱼的，但是Nick看着这个baby octopus觉得好吃，问我会不会烧？我说，不知道， 但是没有关系，你管你买，我回家上网查一下就好了，然后就准备叫人买2磅，但是里面买肉的好像不愿意搭理我们，叫我们去冷冻柜那里拿冷冻的，说是on sale，然后我们就跑去看了，分别由章鱼须和章鱼。我们两个都买了，这是我第二次炒章鱼。因为有了第一次的经验，所以这次炒得还算成功。
说说前面那次，由于吃了韩国料理，呵呵，不知我怎么想到的，我就做韩式的辣章鱼，家里有甜酱，有辣酱，有洋葱，只要把章鱼放进煮开的水里面窜一下就好了，由于我煮得时间稍稍有一点点长，这个章鱼就很不给面子地变得很小很小，像大拇指甲那么大，可怜啊。然后我把生洋葱，大蒜泥，辣酱，甜酱统统都倒了进去，放了一个下午以后，哇！那个味道叫好啊！可惜章鱼实在太缩水了。

图片中的是清炒章鱼，我没有放蒜泥，就放了葱、姜、尖椒。先把油锅烧热，然后把葱啊姜啊椒啊全都放进去爆炒，等有香味了，把章鱼放进去炒一下，1分钟左右吧，别忘记加盐，看到缩得差不多了，马上装盘，这样就完成了，超级简单！教主，你什么时候有空试试，味道也特别鲜！
特别提醒：买这个baby octopus的时候，觉得挺好玩的，以为一打开袋子就可以炒的，但是没有想到，居然还要洗，而且洗的功夫特别长。要耐心，用剪刀剪眼睛的时候，要放在水下，不然章鱼眼睛里面黑色的汁会非常恶心地溅在你的身上。
刚才我查过英语字典了，章鱼 octopus, 乌贼鱼 cuttlefish, 不知道有什么区别没有，反正我吃到嘴里都是一样的味道。
烤比目鱼
这一道是烤大比目鱼，非常简单。
我在网上查过，亚洲的比目鱼非常的小，但是不知道为什么，这里的比目鱼那么大，我们买了两倍像图片中的鱼那么大，十几buck，贵啊！第一次我用的是蒸的方法，感觉没有什么新意，这次用家里的烤箱烤了一次，做之前也没有什么把握，反正随便做了，不管它好吃不好吃，最多明天再做红烧的，但是没有想到，特别好吃，再配上老干妈black bean sauce, 我们家Nick这个老刁嘴把那么大一块鱼一口气全都吃完了，一点也不和我客气。等到我吃晚饭，回过头去看了一下盘子，只有鱼骨头了！！下次我一定要先下手为强！
方法：
1. 撒人胡椒粉和盐，腌渍个把钟头；
2. 将鱼两面均匀地沾上干面粉；
3. 把油锅烧至10分热，放人鱼和色拉油，先用强波火力煎3分钟，翻面再用强波火力煎2分钟；
4. 趁热锅熔化黄油，涂满鱼身，放入温度达250℃的烤箱中烤8分钟，取出装盘，别忘记加上老干妈辣酱。
由于我在cooking的过程中，没有找到butter, 也就没有用。图片中看到的白色的东西是我加的带有咸味的淡奶油。我觉得原理和口味是一样的，我想如果用butter的话，味道会更好的。
双菇贡丸汤
这是全世界最简单的汤，我简称傻瓜汤。
材料： 贡丸、香菇、蘑菇、黄芽菜。
方法： 把水烧开，把以上的材料全都倒进去，再等水开了，放盐。好了！简单吧？！
我们家晚上吃饭有3个must, 一个荤菜，一个素菜，一个汤，当然也少不了饭。就这么简单。

July 18 植物篇 来了那么久了，还没有写过什么东西，今天正好有心情，在院子里面拍了几张照片和大家一起分享一下。
这个是偶家后院，其实美国人的后院都是差不多的，大家都在院子里面种东西，你现在看到的这些树有左边的那部分是水果树。
下面是一些种在家门口和后院的花，这里家家户户都有这样的花，怪不得老美都有花粉过敏症了，太多花了！
这个东西我不知道是什么，就是吹过来的种子在家门口发芽了，希望它长大以后会变得好看一点，不要像现在那么丑。
这个是不知名小花，其实这里的话，我除了蔷薇科的能说出几种以外，其他的基本上都不知道。美国人自己种的什么花，我估计他们也叫不出名字来。
这个是不知名大花，不要问我是什么花，我不知道。
这个长得有点像宝石花，但是好像又不是宝石花，不要看我拍成这样，其实已经死得差不多了，不知道会不会起死回生。
这是家门前的一块草皮，上面长了很多粉红色的小花，我的sister in law说这些小花对草皮不好，所以我们迟早会把它们铲除的。现在先让你们开心几天。
这个嘛，恭喜我自己，是蔷薇科的植物，我总算是认得了。可能是月季之类的吧，拍得不是很好，凑合看看吧。
下面的两张是不同颜色的。
紫色的小花，有点像喇叭花，但是肯定不是喇叭花。
这个白色的花和上面紫色的花看上去是差不多的，但是紫色的是藤上开的花，这个白色的是盆栽。
这个是不知道花，长得像刷子，没有看到很像花的花。
上面是粉红色的，这个是紫色的，经过后来自己观察，好像就是很多小花长在上面，并不是像很硬的刷子，对不起，你还是长得挺美丽的！
这个是球花，紫色的，不知道什么花。
再来一张，这是在窗口的，长得不错吧？
这是今天7月20号早上突然在家门口发现的，所以拍了下来，野花！~
最夸张的是，这里的mail box也是长在植物上面的，第一次看到觉得很奇怪，但是看多了也就这样了。
好了，植物篇就到这里，其实还有很多种我叫不出名字的花我还没有拍，不高兴拍了。

 November 27 2006发生在我身上的怪事2006马上就要过去了,
2007又迫不及待地冲过来,
诶,老了!
下面说说2006年在我身上发生的怪事
24岁马上就要走完了,
11月的时候发起了只有小孩子才发的水痘,
朋友们开玩笑叫我connect dots,
我的脸=赤豆棕?
极度失眠的时候,
凌晨爬起来吃了一只橘子,
10分钟以后就这么着进入了梦想,
橘子=安眠药?
用完一支HR和半支lancome的睫毛膏以后,
发现我我可怜的短睫毛居然有了第二春,
长了,长了,
睫毛膏=增长液?
从小的时候开始就极其讨厌吃饼干,
自从在XTD上班以后,
环境造就我的习惯,
饼干=午饭.
同事10个月之后终于认清了CB的真面目,
算了,我不想和你计较,
毕竟我和你也做不了太久的同事,
我现在的肚量≥我以前的肚量.
喝完starbucks的americano, three shots,
在暖暖的午后,
睡得象死猪一样,
我以后要喝的咖啡≥ 4 shots.
学会了百万家庭学礼仪的第一第二句,
想知道是什么,
不告诉你,
我=粗鲁.
工作期间认识了不少的外国人,
居然还能用自己的超级破烂的spoken english交流,
那些黄毛也挺聪明可以听懂我说什么,
我的spoken english=超级烂
今年春节的第二天碰到了自己喜欢的人,
哈,猪头,
你快快想好怎么对付我吧,
我=lucky.
11月收到了那边的接受通知,
哈!~
啊!~
上海≡我的故乡
12月快到了,
我和朋友们又要开始学外国黄毛,
过个连自己也搞物清桑的christmas.
我=weird.
不管怎样,
2006终于要过去了,
我也可以摆脱这倒霉的狗年了,
2007,哈!

 November 23 8小时无眠23:00~07:00一直闭着眼
意识比醒着的时候还清醒
就是没有办法让自己去见周公
也不知道最近吃了什么东西
脾气特别暴躁
心情也及其地不好
上半月发了一个星期的水痘
在家里呆了整整１６天
等到我的脸看上去不象赤豆棕
想出去压压马路的时候
居然下了一个星期的雨
周围的一切都是湿湿的让人讨厌
什么鬼天气
没听说过11月有半个月都在下雨的
求求老天
快停下来吧
我家快成菌类植物的乐园了
莫非现在是梅雨季节
又是快到年末了
烦心的事情接踵而来
有些人逃去了HK
有些人逃去了Thailand
还有一位仁兄就要顺利地去SP了
希望老兄你一切顺顺利利
我TMD只能呆在上海慢慢煎熬
昨天和老妈去百盛
看完第二层我就想回家
发觉自己突然变的很讨厌Shopping Superhandsome你有福了好不容易病好了
开始上班了
一天又被雨淋了两次
诶……我这活该倒霉的！
